What is collagen?
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body, one of the major building blocks of  bones, skin, muscles, tendons and ligament.  About 70% of the protein in the body is made from collagen.  It is also found in many other body parts, including blood vessels,  hair, nails, eyes and teeth. Collagen is also found in the the cells that make up the liver, kidneys, heart, lungs, nerves, brain and sex glands. It is a typical amino acid  protein &  the "glue" that holds all these things together. In fact, the word Collagen comes from the Greek word "kólla," which means glue.

Doesn’t the body produce its own collagen?
Collagen makes up our connective tissues, bones, muscles, blood cells, cartilage, arteries, and organs, but as the years go by, collagen production declines, our skin wrinkles, and we develop degenerative diseases such as osteoporosis and arthritis.

What does “hydrolyzed” mean?
When collagen has been hydrolyzed, it has gone through a process that breaks down the larger collagen molecules into collagen peptides which are short chains of amino acids. These peptides have a much lower molecular weight and thus are easily transported & absorbed throughout the body.

Does liquid collagen work?

What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan, which is a polysaccharide (essentially a very large sugar). Why the different collagen products?
The reason for our different product ranges is becuase there are over 16 types of collagen, the four main types being Type 1, 2, 3 & 4.

Type 1: This type accounts for 90% of the body's collagen and is made of densely packed fibers. It provides structure to skin, hair, nails, bones, tendons, fibrous cartilage, connective tissue and teeth.

Type 2: This type is for Joint & Cartilage Support, & is made of more loosely packed fibers, found in elastic cartilage, which cushions the joints.

Type 3: This type supports the structure of muscles, organs and arteries.

Type 4: This type helps with filtration and is found in layers of the skin.

Are the products halal and kosher?
Collagen Marine Ultra is derived from natural origins of fish grade collagen halal /kosher peptides.
Collagen MSM Ultra is derived from natural origins of bovine grade collagen peptides.

Do the products  contain gluten, hormones, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), added sugar, artificial flavours or artificial colours?
The products are lactose & fat free & do not have any of  these ingredients and additives.
 
What makes Collagen Marine Ultra different from other collagen drinks?

What is the recommended daily dose and best time of day to take Collagen MSM Ultra?
 Take (25ml) daily, before sleep or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
 
I am young and don’t have any wrinkles or skin conditions. Can I still benefit from taking Collagen Marine Ultra?
After the age of 20, about 1% less of collagen is produced in the dermis each year. Once we pass the age of 30, it is hypothesized that it may go up to 2% less of collagen per year. In our 40's, collagen is no longer produced resulting in wrinkles, fine lines, dry, blemished or thinning skin. Drinking collagen from a young age will help in maintaining a youthful appearance.


Is collagen good for menopause?
In our fifties, the skin becomes dry and is easily bruised, damaged, or broken because the sebaceous (oil) glands have decreased in size. Menopause causes a decrease in estrogen levels, leaving the skin drier, thinner, more sensitive, and less toned. Collagen is very good because it can help balance the hormones.
 
What will happen if I stop taking the product?
Individual results will vary but if you stop completely, you will slowly lose the benefits you have gained & the level of collagen will slowly revert back to its original level.

Can I use the product if I am pregnant or breastfeeding ?
